D7 Reader 2.2.5

Many users want D7 Reader to support another reader service in addition to feedly cloud. Those requests were positively considered and with today's update, D7 Reader adds "The Old Reader" to it's list of supported services.

Users can choose either of the service (need to logout of one service to choose the other) to be used with the app. Unlike feedly, the old reader only supports basic features from Google Reader. Starring, tagging, recommended articles, podcasts and feed/article search are few of the unsupported features. The team behind the old reader are working hard to get all this delivered as soon as possible.

Below is the change log for 2.2.5.

  • Added support for The Old Reader
  • Fixed the wrong latest time appearing for subscriptions
  • Other minor fixes

As usual, enjoy the new version and provide any feedback here or via email. Please show your appreciation via Google Play ratings.

Thank you.

D7 Reader 2.2.4.1

Many users appreciated the last version of D7 Reader via emails, blog post comments and Google Play. Thanks to all of them in supporting the app development.

This version brings many fixes for issues reported by users and found during extensive testing. Users with older Android version were affected by OAuth sign in issue. It's been fixed in this new version but it will make all the users to sign in to Feedly again. This is one time inconvenience and hopefully will not happen in the future unless necessary.

Here is the change log for version 2.2.4.1;
  • OAuth fix for devices with Android version < 3.0, This may get you sign in again.
  • Removed unnecessary permissions.
  • Fixed article list sort order setting not taking effect.
  • Fixed download/play podcast issue.
  • Other minor fixes.
Please keep reporting issues and show your appreciation via Google Play rating.

Thank you for your support!

D7 Reader - 2.2.4

D7 Reader with Feedly cloud support has been released in Google Play (it may take sometime to appear). The new version will require you to login to Feedly via OAuth, you can still use the same Google account for OAuth.

D7 Reader integration to Feedly cloud will make you enjoy seamless transition from Google Reader to Feedly cloud.

There is no visual changes to the app however a lot work has been done in integrating to Feedly cloud. The app features should be the same as before. Please report any bugs either in here or directly via email.

You can still bring in your subscriptions from Google Reader to Feedly. To do so, you need to login to Feedly via web and import the OPML file that you got from Google Takeout.

Change log for version 2.2.4
  • Integrated with Feedly cloud after the shutdown of Google Reader.
  • Few minor fixes will be done in another update.
Happy reading with D7 Reader!
